Description: Please see statement of work for details. City: Afton County: Washington State/Province: MN Seeding of native grasses and forbs on approximately 34 acres at William O'Brien State Park. Broadcast or no-till drill are preferred methods. Example seed mix and seed rates are attached. A seed list, including origin of the seed, needs to be reviewed and approved prior to planting. Project location is on the west side of William O'Brien State Park and approximately 2 miles northwest of Marine on St. Croix, Washington County, MN. Site will be prepped by MN DNR in 2024 with soybeans to ensure weed suppression. The crop will be harvested in fall 2024, remaining stalks can be seeded into through the broadcast or no-till drill seeding methods. Seeding method and equipment planned to be used should be listed in your bid. To avoid rutting and other ground disturbance, work will be done with solid or frozen ground conditions depending on seeding method. Due to unpredictable winter weather/conditions, the timing of the work shall be discussed with the project manager prior to any work being completed. The Project Manager reserves the right to suspend operations due to unsuitable ground conditions resulting from significant precipitation events, warm weather, snow melt, or other unpredictable ground conditions
