Site work and paving for a road / highway in Girard, Ohio. Working plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
As of 10/04/2024 This project has been put on hold – no contractor awarded. The base bid includes resurfacing of Park Avenue between Ward Avenue and Tod Avenue at a total length of approximately 0.34 miles. The base bid project includes pavement planing, tack coat, and installation of asphalt surface course he Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities in bidding. Bids for the above-described work must be submitted on blanks furnished in the Project Manual. Entire Project Manual must be submitted as one original and one copy. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty made payable to the City of Girard in the form of either: (1) A bond for the full amount of the bid, or (2) A certified check, cashier's check, or letter of credit pursuant to Chapter 1305, Ohio Revised Code, in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total bid amount pursuant to Chapter 153 of the ORC. The Engineer's Estimate of Probable Construction Cost for this project is provided in the bid documents. Each individual employed by the Contractor and any Sub-Contractor engaged in work on the project under this contract shall be paid the prevailing wage established by the Department of Industrial Relations of the State of Ohio. This shall occur regardless of any contractual relationship that may be said to exist between the Contractor or any Subcontractor and such individual. All Contractors and Sub-contractors involved with the Project will, to the extent practicable, use Ohio products, materials, services, and labor in the implementation of the Project. Additionally, the contractor's compliance with the Equal Employment Opportunity Requirements of the Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123, the Governor's Executive Order of 1972 and the Governor's Executive Order 84-9 shall be required. Each bid submitted must include a current copy of the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Certificate of Compliance as evidence that the bidder is certified by the State of Ohio. The Non-Collusion Affidavit of Prime Bidders and Personal Property Delinquent Tax Affidavit must be completed and submitted with all bids. All bids must be identified by marking sealed envelope - 2024 Girard Street Improvement Project . No pre-bid meeting will be conducted. Contract Times for completion and provisions on liquidated and special damages, if any, are indicated in the Agreement. The City of Girard reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities in bidding. No interpretations of the meaning of the plans, specifications or other contract documents will be made to any bidder orally. Every request for such interpretation should be in writing on the RFI Form included herein, addressed to Zach Teter, Project Manager and to be given consideration must be received at least seven days prior to bid opening, and any supplemental instructions will be in the form of written addenda to the specifications which, if issued, will be e-mailed (at the respective addresses furnished for such purpose), to all parties of record as having taken out a full set of plans and specifications, not later than 72 hours prior to the date fixed for the opening of bids
