Scope of Services The Town of Swansea is soliciting bids from qualified companies for the supply and installation of two (2) Irrigation Wells at its Medeiros Farm Recreational Complex. The selected vendor will be responsible to provide all materials, labor, equipment, and vehicles as required for the following scope of services. It is the intent of these scope of services to procure to full functioning irrigation wells: A. Drill two (2) artesian six (6) inch diameter wells approximately 600 feet each in depth using mud rotary drilling methods or a similar acceptable method. B. Install a minimum of fifty (50') feet of 6" diameter steel casing per well. C. The wells shall be developed in order to produce a safe yield of thirty (30) gallons per minute (gpm). D. The Contractor shall conduct a pump test to verify safe well yield. E. Drilled wells shall each be fitted with a 5 HP 200 Volt 3 Phase 3W 4" Franklin Motor (or approved equal) along with a Franklin 5 HP - 30 GPM PE submersible pump, or approved equal, and connected with two (2) inch diameter polyethylene pipe brought to the surface. F. The Contractor shall supply a well pump starter equivalent to a Franklin Smart Starter Model #SSP3RSOPJ-G30, or approved equal. G. Pumps shall be wired and brought to the surface with 8-3 flat black sub wire. H. Wells shall be sampled and tested for volatile organic compounds (VOCs). I. Wells shall be fitted with a proper well cap. J. Contractor shall be responsible for all necessary permitting for well installation
