The City of Brush! is partnering with the Main Street Program of the Brush Area Chamber of Commerce in pursuing a downtown enhancement project of festoon lighting across the 200 block of Clayton Street (Clayton), and is seeking bids for the project. At this time, this project is contingent upon being awarded grant funds, for which the bids received for the project will be utilized as part of the grant application process. If awarded sufficient grant funds, the project award will be done by City Council at a time to be determined. Festoon lighting is understood to be rows of stringed bulbs or globe lighting from one side of the street to the other, sufficiently supported and secured, that provide a charming and attractive environment for the downtown area. Unless alternative ideas are submitted that meet the intent, the scope of work includes Placement of structural poles for tension wire/cable Tension wire/cable installation between poles Commercial grade lighting string Replaceable individual bulbs/globes Electrical tie-in to existing lines located in the Clayton right-of-way Any necessary restoration from construction impact. If grant funds are awarded to City as stated above, which is expected to be known by the end of November, project bid will be awarded no later than January 31, 2025, and project will be required to be completed by June 1, 2025. Questions can be directed to: Tyler Purvis, Community Development Director tpurvis@brushcolo.com 970.842.5002 The City reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive any and all informalities and to negotiate contract terms with the successful bidder, and the right to disregard all nonconforming, non-responsive or conditional Bids.
