As of September 17, 2025, an engineer has been selected, and this project is in the design phase. A firm timeline for construction has not been determined. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: Saint Lucie County, Florida Public Utilities is requesting qualified consulting firms to submit qualifications to perform hydraulic modeling and design for water, brine, and force main extensions. The watermain and brine line will connect the Peacock Road Water Treatment Facility to the watermain and brine lines in the vicinity of State Route 70 (Okeechobee Road) and Midway Road. The force main will connect the existing sanitary sewer lines on the St Lucie County Fairgrounds property to the force main in the vicinity of State Route 70 (Okeechobee Road) and Midway Road. *The engineer firm, Masteller & Moler Inc. will not accept phone call inquiries at this time.
