The Project includes the following Work Cured-in-Place Pipe Lining of approximately 2,250 linear feet of 6" diameter Vitrified Clay Pipe (VCP). Lining of laterals connected to sewer to be lined and installation of vacuum excavated cleanouts for each lined lateral. Lining and rehabilitation of six (6) manholes. Church Street Sewer Rehab Cured-in-Place Pipe Lining of approximately 2,250 linear feet of 6" diameter Vitrified Clay Pipe (VCP). Lining of laterals connected to sewer to be lined and installation of vacuum excavated cleanouts for each lined lateral. Lining and rehabilitation of six (6) brick manholes. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of 10 percent (10%) of the maximum amount of the bid, as a guarantee that the bidder will execute the contract and furnish the necessary bonds if the contract is awarded to him/her. Instructions to Bidders For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents. Other Requirements Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the total bid, as a guarantee that the bidder will execute the contract and furnish the necessary bonds if the contract is awarded to him/her. A Performance and Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the estimated contract price, shall be required from the Successful Bidder. The Supplementary Conditions set forth requirements for the payment by the Contractor and all Subcontractors of minimum wage rates for all classes of laborers and mechanics as set forth by all applicable provisions of the PA Prevailing Wage Act, and the Bid shall be prepared accordingly. All Iron and Steel products must meet PA Steel Procurement Act Requirements Westfield Borough reserves the right to waive any irregularities and to reject any and all bids and to award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder for the total of all lump sum items. Proposals may be withdrawn, altered or otherwise modified within PennBid at any time prior to the due date and time indicated above.
