Construction of 3900 feet of EP True Parkway from Grand Prairie Parkway to Future Bridgewood Boulevard including 29 acres of Clearing and Grubbing, 27,927 CY of Topsoil Strip, Salvage and Spread, 118,100 CY of Excavation. 4,838 LF of Storm Sewer and 52 Storm Sewer Structures. 5,410 LF of Subdrain and Subdrain Outlets. 20,440 LF of Conduit and Vaults. 4,057 LF of Water Main, Fittings, Valves and Hydrants. 28,914 SY of 8.5 inch Reinforced PCC Pavement, 4,283 SY of 6 inch Reinforced PCC Shared Use Path and 425 SY of 6 inch PCC Driveway. Erosion Control, Seeding and Surface Restoration, Pavement Markings, Construction Survey, and other Miscellaneous Construction. The second phase of EP True Parkway from Bridgewood Boulevard to Wendover Lane is scheduled to be let in late May, 2025. Intersection improvements at EP True Parkway and Grand Prairie Parkway is scheduled to be let in late May, 2025. This project will require coordination with both of these projects. by a scanned copy of the bid bond or a scanned copy of a cashier's or certified check drawn on an Iowa bank or a bank chartered under the laws of the United States in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid. If a bid bond is submitted it must be on the form provided with the contract documents. A physical copy of the bid security will be required to be submitted to the City Clerk's Office by the apparent low bidder within 48 hours of the bid deadline. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance and payment bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price guaranteeing faithful performance of the contract and guaranteeing payment to all persons supplying labor and/or materials in the execution of the work provided for in the contract. Additionally the contractor must provide the City with a guarantee of maintenance of said improvement in the form of surety for a period of four (4) years from the time of acceptance by the City. Work on said project shall commence within 10 days of written notice to proceed and shall be completed by August 15th, 2026. Liquidated damages in the amount of Five hundred dollars ($500.00) per day will be assessed for each day that the work remains uncompleted after the end of the contract period. The kinds of materials, estimated quantities, and work to be done for the project on which bids will be received are as shown on the bid proposal for said project.
