CR Number: 2114157 General construction involving the reclamation of existing unlined landfill Cell 1. The Project includes: Removing the soil cap over an existing 6.5-acre unlined landfill cell (Cell 1) and stockpiling the soil cap materials at designated locations on-Site; Relocation of approximately 220,000 cubic yards of in-place municipal solid waste from unlined Cell 1 to existing operating cells at the Solid Waste Management Center (i.e., Cells 5 and 6) including compacting the relocated waste in waste lifts; Management of the waste filling operations in conformance with the Facility's operating permit and Facility Manual, including provision of daily operating cover; The Work shall conform to the Facility's Reclamation Work Plan; Removal of existing Rain Cap over select areas of the operating cells prior to waste filling; Hardening and burying existing vertical landfill wells in the operating cell; Additive Alternate 1: Providing additional Rain Cap (geomembrane) over the Waste Fill Area in Cells 5 and 6; Additive Alternate 2: Providing a reinforced landfill cover (scrim) over a portion of the excavated area of Cell 1; Additive Alternate 3: providing 12-inches of select gravel over the rain capped terraces in the Waste Fill Area. Providing temporary leachate management controls during construction as needed; Providing erosion and sediment controls during construction; Providing permanent storm water management practices, including berms, terraces, down chute and Sediment Basin A; and All related work per the Contract Documents.
