The deadline to submit bids for permanent repairs on Town roads damaged by the July 2024 floods has been POSTPONED INDEFINITELY due to a delay in information from the State of Vermont. Permanent Road Repair Shady Rill Rd. and McCullough Hill Rd. The Town of Middlesex is seeking proposals for repairs to Town highways affected by the 2024 floods. Bids may be for all or some of the projects. This is a FEMA project. Minority and/or women-owned firms as well as firms from labor-surplus areas are encouraged to apply. Scope of work: Remove and repave 500'x24' section of road from Government Hill Rd to end of Guard rail. Cut out, remove and patch 4 areas on edge of road damaged by flood waters approximately 1000 sq. ft. Pressure wash Bridge Deck and patch holes and pave of 1" over Bridge Deck. Patch area at center of road from the Guardrail for 150 linear ft. Patch Potholes from picnic areas to rte. 12. Quantities: Remove and replace 1,467 sq. yds. It will be 4" of pavement two lifts (layers) 2.5" of 1/2 " mix and 1.5" lift of 1 1/2 " mix. Saw Cut 4 areas at edge of road 255 lienal feet. Then Patch those 4 areas to match existing pavement. 110 sq. yds. Potholes (NUMEROUS) Bridge Deck - pressure wash, patch and pave. (Please measure) McCullough Hill Rd. Scope of Work: Remove and replace asphalt from Bridge to Old Brook Rd. with apron starting up McCullough Hill Rd. Quantities: Remove and replace 630 sq. yds. 4" thick two lifts (layers) 2.5" of " mix and 1.5" lift of 1 1/2 " mix. The Town of Middlesex reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
