The Robesonia-Wernersville Womelsdorf Council of Governments (the "Council") will receive sealed Bids for a one (1) year Contract and a three (3) year Contract with options to renew for two (2) additional one (1) year periods at the Robesonia Borough Hall at 75 South Brooke Street, Robesonia, Berks County, Pennsylvania 19551 (the "Borough Hall") until 2:00 P.M., prevailing time on Friday, November 1,2024 for Curbside collection, removal, transportation, recycling, processing and marketing of Recyclable Materials and the Curbside collection, removal and transportation of Garbage and Refuse. The Council at its cost shall provide a Recycling Container to each Unit. Each Bidder shall have the right to select the day of the week for the Curbside collection of Recyclable Materials and the Curbside collection of Garbage and Refuse for each Municipality. However once selected by the Bidder or Bidders, the day of Curbside collection of Recyclable Materials and the Curbside collection of Garbage and Refuse for each Municipality shall not be changed during the Term without the prior written consent of the Council, which consent the Council may condition, grant or withhold in its sole and absolute discretion. The Council reserves the right to revise the Bidding Documents and the Contract Documents prior to the Bid opening on Friday, November 1, 2024. Each potential Bidder who has picked up the Bidding Documents and the Contract Documents will be provided a copy of any revisions. A Bidder may bid on any, some or all of the Options more fully referred to in the Bid Option Summary Sheet. Each Bid shall be accompanied by a Bid Security in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total Bid price. A cashier's check or Bid Bond will be accepted. The successful Contractor will berequired to provide the Council with a Performance Security as more fully specified in the Bidding Documents. The Council reserves the right to accept or reject any and all Bids, and to accept or reject any part of a Bid that may not be in the best interest of the Council, the Borough of Robesonia, the Borough of Wernersville, or the Borough of Womelsdorf and their respectiveresidents.
