The proposed work consists of: Excavation to remove sediment within MESD Reach H and County Ditch Reach 1. Clear trees and brush on County Ditch Reach 1 & 2 within the County Ditch right of way. Digital copies of the plans and specifications may be obtained at no cost upon Engineer's receipt of a completed request/release form provided by Engineer. No bidder may withdraw his bid within ninety (90) days of the scheduled time of closing bids. All bids must be made on forms furnished by the County Ditch Drainage and Levee District. The successful bidder will be required to execute and present performance and payment bonds in a sum equal to the full amount of the contract. Bids must be for the contract as a whole. Illinois law requires that contractors pay the prevailing wage rates as determined by the Department of Labor. The County Ditch Drainage and Levee District reserves the right to waive, or not to waive, any irregularities in the bids and tc reject any or all bids and to determine which is the lowest and best bid.
