All bids must be made on forms furnished by the City of Edwardsville and placed in a sealed envelope; clearly labeled, "BID ENCLOSED. 694 EAST VANDALIA FENCE BID" on the lower left hand corner of the envelope. Contractors must submit a cashier's check, certified check, or bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the gross amount of the total bid with the bid sheet. Illinois law requires that contractors pay the prevailing wage rates as determined by the Department of Labor. The City of Edwardsville reserves the right to waive technicalities and to reject any or all bids.
