A Bid Bond or Certified Check made payable to the Project Owner (Board of Education - District #7) in the amount of 5% of the Base Bid shall accompany the Bid Packages as a guarantee that the bidder, if awarded the contract, will furnish a satisfactory Performance and Payment Bond, execute the contract and proceed with the work. Upon failure to do so, they shall forfeit the deposit or amount of the Bid Bond as liquidated damages, and no mistakes or error on the part of the Bidder shall excuse the Bidder or entitle him to a return of the deposit or Bid Bond. The Board of Education Edwardsville CUSD #7 reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive any informality in the bidding process, and to award a Contract for any part of the Work or the Project as a whole.
