Renovation of a municipal facility in Hazleton, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The Project will be bid as a Single Prime Contract. THIS IS A PENNSYLVANIA PREVAILING WAGE RATE PROJECT. PROJECT WAGE RATES ARE INCLUDED IN THIS BID PACKAGE. The Project site is located at 13-15 West Broad Street, Hazleton, PA and is the next phase of infrastructure improvements at the Hazleton LaunchBox building. The Facade Package consists of, but not limited to, the Base Bid renovations to the exterior facade of the building; and Add Alternates: new second floor toilet room and janitor's closet, second floor wood subfloor repair and/or replacement, existing front stair tower finishes and electrical work, finishes and exterior front wall framing/gypsum board in Existing Office 200 and Existing Unoccupied Floor 203 with the associated dividing wall. DHAP anticipates City Council approval for the project at the regularly scheduled November 12, 2024 meeting. Notice to Proceed issued on November 13, 2024 releasing the successful contractor to commence administrative and onsite activities. It is the responsibility of the Contractor to supply the necessary manpower, materials and equipment to complete all Work in accordance with the above time schedule and the Lump Sum Price shall be based on the Contractor manning the Work to meet this schedule. Proposal Guarantee in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the Bid must accompany each bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Performance and Payment Bond equal to the full amount of the Contract price shall be provided by the successful Contractor. The Bonds shall be maintained in full force for a period of six (6) months after the date of Final Payment. he Construction Contract requires conformance with the following: o Non Discrimination/Sexual Harassment Clause (included in Project Manual), o Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Commonwealth Financing Authority, Local Share Account Grant. Full copy of LSA Grant agreement included in Project Manual. The above General Outline of the principal features does not in any way limit the responsibility of the Contractor to perform all Work and furnish all labor, materials and equipment required by the Contract Documents. The City and DHAP (Owner) reserves the right to waive any informalities in any or all bids, and to reject or accept any or all proposals or any part of any proposal. Payment terms for this project are Sixty (60) days from approved Application for Payment. IDDERS ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED THAT ALL PROJECT LABOR SHALL BE PRICED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PREVAILING MINIMUM WAGE DETERMINATION OF THE DEPARTMENT OF LABOR AND INDUSTRY, COMMONWEALTH OF PENNSYLVANIA, INCLUDED IN THE PROJECT MANUAL.
