The City of Bloomington (the "City") is seeking written Quotes from contractors for abatement services. Question Deadline 11/07/2024 at 5:00 PM CT It is the responsibility ofthe Contractor to inquire about any portion ofthe RFQ that is not fully understood or susceptible to more than one interpretation. Inquiries must be submitted to the Purchasing representative through the RFQ System by clicking on the "Submit a Question" button for this specific RFQ. The City's Environmental Health Division oversees the health and well-being of all residents and dwellings within the City. It is the Environmental Health Division's responsibility to investigate reports of unsanitary living conditions and, when necessary, issue orders to clean up those properties. In some cases, the clean-up or abatement involves picking up refuse, appliances and brush and providing proper disposal, or securing by changing locks and boarding up a building against illegal entry. In a few cases, structures will need to be demolished. In the event the property owner is unable or unwilling to comply with an issued abatement order, the City will undertake to clean up or repair the property, working with a contractor as needed. All costs associated with the clean-up are passed along to the property owner.
