The project bid will be for the removal of residential occupancy debris from a parcel of land to be used as an access for a county park, along with minor earthwork to re-align & widen an existing road. The parcel is located at 431251 Highway 20 Newport, WA 99156 and is approximately 1 acre in size. There will be an alternate bid item for providing and installing two access gates. It is noted that there are no items on this property with any recognizable value. All items are to be disposed of at the Pend Oreille County Transfer Station located at 9494 Deer Valley Rd Newport, WA 99156. There will be several items noted that are required to be recycled at the same facility. Pend Oreille County Parks & Recreation (POC Parks) will incur the solid waste scale fees, and those tonnage amounts should not be accounted for in the bid prices. Power will be decommissioned from the PUD service. The contractor shall locate, separate, cap, secure and mark both the sanitary sewer and water connections to the residence upon removal of such. Parks & Recreation encourages the contractor to recycle metals as much as possible for this project, but such is not a requirement with the exception of those items required to be recycled by description. The project shall be fully completed by 01/15/2025. The County reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, waive any minor irregularities or informalities or accept any bid which would be in the best interest of the County and will not necessarily be bound to accept the low bid if the low bid is not from a responsible bidder.
