Site work for a water / sewer project in Mount Vernon, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The successful bidder shall be an equal opportunity employer. Envelopes containing bid shall be plainly marked on the outside specifying project 2024-25 SANITARY SEWER MANHOLE PROJECT. The project generally consists of installing 20 Precast Sanitary Sewer Manholes at existing Sanitary Cleanout locations. The City Reserves the right to reject any and/ or all bids, and may accept that which is most advantageous to the City of Mt. Sanitary Sewer construction shall be completed in accordance with the Standard Specifications for Water & Sewer Main Construction in Illinois. 2. The contractor is responsible for his own layout & grade control. The proposed sanitary sewer manholes shall be installed at the elevations shown on plans. A benchmark is listed for each manhole location on the Summary of Sanitary Sewer Manholes list. 3. Manholes for the sanitary sewer shall be precast reinforced concrete in accord with ASTM C-478. Precast base sections shall be pre-fitted with gasketed connection joint (elastomeric seal, o-ring configuration), in accord with ASTM C-923. The flow channel through the manhole shall be made to conform in shape and slope to that of the sewers. Provide a bench with minimum slope of 2/ft. Steps are not required.
