In general, the work shall consist of the rehabilitation of approximately 7 sanitary sewer manholes consisting of 88.3 vertical feet of cementitious manhole lining, installation or modification of concrete manhole benches and channels (as needed), grouting of voids, pipe penetrations, and active leaks (as needed), removal of 55 manhole steps, and installation of approximately 7 mechanical chimney seals. This project is intended to reduce the amount of infiltration into the sanitary sewer system that currently occurs through manholes. Work shall be performed under a unit price contract as specified by the Village of Green Camp. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or minor defects in bids or bidding procedure, or reject any and all bids, or to accept the bid from the lowest most responsible and responsive bidder as exclusively determined by the Owner. Any bid may be withdrawn, by written request, prior to the above scheduled time for opening of bids or authorized postponement thereof. No bidder may withdraw a bid within 90 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Should there be a reason why the contract cannot be awarded within a specified period, the time may be extended by mutual agreement between the Owner and the Bidder determined by the Owner to be the lowest most responsible and responsive. Submission of a signed Bid by the Bidder constitutes acknowledgement of and acceptance of all the documents and terms and conditions of the Contractual-Legal Requirements and Technical Sections of the specifications in the Project Manual. All Bids must be accompanied by Bid security made payable to Owner, in the form of a certified or bank check or a Bid Bond issued by a surety. The amount of the cashier's or certified check must be at least TEN PERCENT (10%) of the Bidder's maximum bid price (in accordance with Ohio Revised Code Chapter 1305). If a Bid Security is issued in the form of a Bid Bond by a Surety, it shall be equal to ONE HUNDRED PERCENT (100%) of the Bidder's maximum bid price (in accordance with Ohio Revised Code 153.54).
