Renovation of an educational facility in New Britain, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 10,070-square-foot, four-story above grade educational facility.

Int. reno of 3rd floor (4,470 gsf) and 4th floor (5,600) in an existing 4-story building. Reno includes but is not limited to the following: Selective demolition, construction of new gypsum board, metal stud partitions, doors, frames, hardware, rough & finish carpentry, laminate cabinets, wood veneer cabinets, solid countertops, flooring, suspended ceilings, tiling, painting. Accessories consist of visual display units, signage, toilet & bath accessories. Equipment and furnishings shall consist of kitchen appliances and roller shades, wood blinds & veneer wallcovering. A/V displays and associated devices. Access control upgrades & hardware. Partial replacement of plastic pipe with new steel pipe sprinkler system distribution with new heads throughout; new toilet room, sink; replace of HVAC system from VAV boxes to/from all diffusers, register/grilles; all new electrical power distribution, lighting, fire alarm & technology infrastructure. As security, each bid must be accompanied by a Certified Check payable to the Treasurer of the State of Connecticut, OR the bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond, AIA Form A-310, having as surety thereto such Surety Company or Companies as are authorized to do business in this State for an amount not less than 10% of the Bid. The awarding authority reserves the right to waive technical defects or to reject any and all bids.
