Renovation of a municipal facility in Oley, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Site work includes access to a PennDOT highway, rough grading, and paving for cartways and parking areas, installing retaining wall, and the location of the building. Finish grading for sidewalks, landscaping, and the planting of trees and finish paving of cartways and parking areas. Provide and install site signage and lot lighting system. The renovation of the exterior of the existing structure that contains the new BCMDC Office of 2,963 square feet and construction of new Retail Spaces of 6,211 square feet. HVAC systems shall be provided as new to all spaces. New HVAC systems shall be heat pump style rooftop units with ductwork distribution to each individual tenant space. Electrical system shall incorporate an upgraded 208/3/60 - 600A electrical service to the building. Electrical distribution shall be individually metered by tenant space from a new meter center. Plumbing systems shall be fed from existing on-site sanitary and domestic water systems. Water shall be individually metered to each tenant space. The following systems will be provided by Redevelopment Authority of the County of Berks; emergency alert. The Project will be bid prevailing wage, multiple prime. There will be no bound SPECIFICATION and all technical construction notes and product data will be placed on the construction documents. Eachproposal must be accompanied by a certified check orbid bond in the amount notless than 10% of the totalamount of bid. No bidder maywithdraw his proposal for aperiod of sixty (60) days afterthe date of submission. Attention is called to thefact that not less than theminimum salaries and wagesas set forth in the contractdocuments must be paid onthis project (Federal DavisBacon Wage Act), and thatemployees and applicants foremployment shall not be discriminated against becauseof their race, age, color, religion, sex, national origin, orhandicap. Contracts are subject to therequirements for affirmativeaction to ensure equal employment opportunity (Executive Order 11246) The Authority reserves theright to reject any or all bidswithout explanation and/orwaive any informality in anybid received when such waiver is in the best interest of theAuthority.
