The project involves roadway repairs to a portion of Main Street in Oley Township, Berks County, PA, beginning at the Water Street intersection and ending at the Oley/Ruscombmanor Township line. The work includes roadway milling, base repair, installation of pavement fabric, speed tables, pavement markings, signage, asphalt leveling course, and asphalt wearing course overlay. Proposals must be made upon the forms furnished by Oley Township, accompanied by a Bid Bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total proposal. The successful bidder must provide a Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond each equal to one hundred percent (100%), as well as a worker's compensation affidavit and a certificate of insurance naming Oley Township and LTL Consultants, Ltd. as additional insureds, all within 10 days after the contract is awarded. A Maintenance Bond equal to fifteen percent (15%) of the contract price and extending for 18 months after substantial completion is required. Proposals shall be effective for 90 days from the date of opening. Liquidated damages apply at the rate of $500.00 per calendar day. The project is subject to the provisions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act. Proposals must include the Public Works Employment Verification Form completed by the Bidder. Oley Township reserves the right to waive non-material defects or irregularities in the bid and to reject any or all bids or portions thereof. MBE/WBE will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids and no person will be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, sex, or national origin.
