Site work for a water / sewer project in Panora, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
This project includes armoring the east side of the streambank entering Lake Panorama in Burchfield Cove by installing longitudinal peaked stone toe protection. Proposed activities include tree clearing, placing approximately 1,700 tons of rip rap, grading activities to lay back existing steep streambanks, seeding/mulching, and other associated work Questions regarding the project should be received in writing by 5:00 p.m. on November 29, 2024 and should be addressed to: Michael Otten, P.E., Shive-Hattery, Inc., 4125 Westown Parkway, Suite 100, West Des Moines, IA 50266 or by email to: motten@shive-hattery.com. Work can commence after approval of the contract by the Board, and shall be substantially completed by May 31, 2025. Each bidder shall accompany its bid with bid security as defined in Iowa Code Section 26.8, as security that the successful bidder will enter into a contract for the work bid upon and will furnish after the award of contract a corporate surety bond, in a form acceptable to the Jurisdiction, for the faithful performance of the contract, in an amount equal to 100% of the amount of the contract.
