The Contractor shall, at their own expense, furnish all labor, materials, tools, transportation, equipment, lodging, and perform all work required to construct and complete in a good and workmanlike manner the following Hardening/closing up the counter Framing in and installing four doors to match current City Hall doors. Doors to be compatible with the City's current card reader system to allow access. Doors to be wired for including electric hinge and have installed electromechanical mortise locks from Stanley BEST locking systems. Model number 45HW -7DEU15S. Wiring for lock must be ran to East server room. Doors to stay open and have the ability to close with a button Doors to match existing doors in City Hall furnishing the City of Redding a quote for furnishing and installing four (4) doors and harden counter in the Permit Center at City Hall, per the specifications and general conditions. It is understood that this bid shall remain open and shall not be withdrawn for a period of forty five (45) days from the date prescribed for the opening of the bid Bid Security - Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check drawn on a bank authorized to do business in the State of California, payable at sight to the City of Redding in an amount equal to or not less than ten (10) percent of the contract total. The "Performance Bond" shall be for 100 percent of the contract price to guarantee faithful performance of all work, within the time prescribed, in a manner satisfactory to the Agency, and that all materials and workmanship will be free from original or developed defects. The "Payment Bond" (Material and Labor Bond) shall be for not less than 100 percent of the contract price, to satisfy claims of material suppliers and of mechanics and laborers employed by it on the work. The bond shall be maintained by the Contractor in full force and effect until the work is accepted by the Agency, and until all claims for materials and labor are paid, and shall otherwise comply with the Civil Code. The amount of the "Maintenance Bond" shall be for 50 percent of the final contract price. The Maintenance Bond shall be submitted on the form contained in these specifications or on a form which conforms to it prior to release of final payment for the work. AWARD OF CONTRACT The award of this Contract, if it is awarded, will be made on the basis of availability of budgeted funds and to the Contractor with the lowest responsive price for the base bid. The City reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive minor irregularities.
