Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in New Market, Alabama. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

Madison County is seeking to replace approximately 14,000 feet of Class 160 PVC water main with 8-inch PVC pipe and 6-inch ductile iron pipe in the New Market area. The Madison County Commission reserves the right to award this bid on an all-or-none or item by item basis, to refuse all bids, and to waive technicalities. There will not be a pre-bid meeting. Madison County is seeking to replace approximately 14,000 feet of Class 160 PVC water main with 8- inch PVC pipe and 6-inch ductile iron pipe in the New Market area. The Contractor will be responsible for the installation of new main in accordance with the technical specifications. (a) Scope of Services The Contractor shall: o Install temporary erosion control devices; o Install approximately 8,300 linear feet of new 6-inch Ductile Iron water main by open cut, including hydrants and valve assemblies, as shown on the Construction Drawings; o Install approximately 5,700 linear feet of new 8-inch PVC water main by open cut, including hydrants and valve assemblies, as shown on the Construction Drawings; o Install approximately 60 linear feet of new 8-inch HDPE water main by directional drilling (HDD), as shown on the Construction Drawings; o Install approximately 100 linear feet of new 6-inch HDPE water main by directional drilling (HDD), as shown on the Construction Drawings; o Perform open cuts for new main as shown on Construction Drawings; o Pressure test and disinfect the new main and services; o Install new service tubing and connect to the existing meter; o Connect the new main to the existing mains; o Repair driveways, culverts, and roadways to original condition or better; o Abandon existing mains and remove old hydrants and valve boxes; o Maintain appropriate erosion control; o Landscape yards and right-of way to original condition or better; o Remove temporary devices (sample taps, blow-offs, erosion control devices) from the site. The existing water line shall remain in-service during construction, and work shall be performed to avoid any damage and service disruption to the existing main. The existing main will remain live until the new main and services have been successfully tested, and the new main is ready to connect to the existing main. Construction may be performed in phases. All work must be coordinated with Madison County. The work shall be performed according to the conditions, technical specification and drawings provided in this bid package
