Renovation of a municipal facility in Fresno, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
This project consists of platform bird control upgrades and passenger seating bench improvements at the Fresno, CA (FNO) Station to enhance Amtrak's assets, provide positive customer service and experience, and improve safety and security for customers and Amtrak employees. The scope of work for this project consists of: Bird Netting Remove and dispose old bird netting. Install new bird netting under the canopy that covers the passenger waiting area on the platform. Install new bird netting/wire mesh around the gap in the two passenger reader boards under the canopy. Remove bird droppings/debris from cross beams, reader board signs, and seating area. Clean and sanitize seating area under canopy. Exact seating to be cleaned TBD at job walk. Seating Bench Location Improvement Remove (Qty: TBD) benches from the southwest side of the station. o Existing mounting hardware shall be removed and/or shaved to even with the grade. o Holes in concrete remaining from the removal from existing hardware shall be filled and any tripping hazards shall be eliminated. Install (Qty: TBD) benches on the track side (northeast) of the station. Benches shall be secured to the ground. Hardware must be approved by Project Manager. o Exact locations: TBD
