Demolition and site work for an industrial development in Marion, Iowa. Completed plans call for the demolition of a industrial development; and for site work for a industrial development.
The scope of work for the public improvement project consists of, and is limited to, repairs to documented Derecho damage at the following Linn County facilities: Engineering Barn - 1888 County Home Road, Marion, Iowa Bid Security: Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond, certified check, cashier's check or credit union certified share draft, in a separate sealed envelope in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid. This form of the bid security shall be as prescribed by Chapter 26.8, Code of Iowa. Project description: This public improvement consists of demolition of a Derecho damaged barn that is beyond the possibility of repair. The scope of the work is outlined in the contract documents. Care must be taken to limit further damaging the land surrounding the demolition area. The barn consists of approximately 6,300 SF on two floors with a hay mow. There is a debris field around the barn that needs to be cleared as part of this project. Once the barn and retaining wall are removed, the land needs to be filled, graded, and seeded. A livestock fence needs to be installed to connect the fences that now use the barn as a barrier.
