The project consists of the removal of the existing single-span through-truss structure as indicated for the Demolition of MSI Corporation Bridge over the Norfolk Southern Railroad. A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of the Westmoreland County Industrial Development Corporation, negotiable U.S. Government Bonds, or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder, and an acceptable surety authorized to do business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the bid for the Demolition of MSI Corporation Bridge over the Norfolk Southern Railroad shall be submitted with each bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory performance and payment bonds each in the amount of 110% of the contract price, and certificate of insurance prior to the award of the contract. All requests for information shall be submitted in writing to the office of the Engineer at k.tan@gaiconsultants.com on or before 5:00 p.m. local prevailing time December 11, 2024. Requests for information will not be accepted after 5:00 p.m. on December 11, 2024 bidders can pick up one (1) complete set of Drawings and Specification documents at the office of GAI Consultants, Inc., 385 East Waterfront Drive, Homestead, Pennsylvania, 15120, attention Mr. Kevin Tan. Shipping will be via standard delivery for an additional fee of $50.00. An electronic copy of the bidding documents sent via email will be at no cost.
