Demolition, site work, new construction, renovation and addition to a mixed-use development in Tamaqua, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the addition of a clubhouse / community center; for the demolition of a clubhouse / community center; for the construction of a clubhouse / community center; for the renovation of a 4,996-square-foot clubhouse / community center; for site work for a clubhouse / community center; fire / police facility; clubhouse / community center; clubhouse / community center; clubhouse / community center; and clubhouse / community center.
Additions and Renovations to create the new The Tamaqua Area Police Station and Community Center General Site Work: Miscellaneous site work associated with new building construction, Site improvements, site excavation, storm water management, utilities work, site lighting, miscellaneous paving and site security fences as necessary. NOTE: the underground stormwater system shall be installed across the parking lot as a part of another stormwater system improvement project. Carefully review the drawings for the extent of each contract, and Project Coordination as defined in the Project Manual and Specifications. General Construction Work: Miscellaneous construction work to include concrete footing, foundation, and flat work, masonry, wood and/or metal framing, pitched asphalt fiberglass shingle roofing, flat built-up roofing, soffit and fascia work, gutter work, hollow metal doors and frames, wood doors and frames, aluminum or vinyl clad wood windows, stucco, overhead door, insulation and sealant work, drywall, suspended acoustical ceiling, painting, flooring finishes, and Project Coordination as defined in the Project Manual and Specifications. Mechanical Construction Work: new heating, ventilation and air-conditioning and exhaust systems, and Project Coordination as defined in the Project Manual and Specifications. Electrical Construction Work: new electrical service, power, lighting, controls and coordination emergency generator and switch gear. Plumbing Construction Work: new plumbing, domestic water, sanitary and vent piping and natural gas piping. Fire Protection Work: New fully automatic sprinkler system wet and dry systems for the building. C. Each contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to complete the work called for and implied by the plans and specifications. Each bid must include Bid Security, a certified check, bank check or bid bond issued by a surety licensed to conduct business in the state of PA, in the amount of 10% of the total contract amount, including all add alternates, payable to The Tamaqua Area Community Partnership. Bidding is for the construction of the Additions, renovations, and new sitework for the Tamaqua Area Police Station and Community Center, located at 133 East Broad St., Tamaqua, PA. Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount of 100% of the contract amount will be required to be furnished by the successful bidder with a corporate surety approved by The Tamaqua Area Community Partnership. Bidding will be public, utilize Pennsylvania State Prevailing Wage Rates established by the Commonwealth of PA Department of Labor and Industry. One bid will be received for Demolition of 5 houses. Question Deadline 01/02/2025 If any person contemplating submitting a bid for construction of the Work is in doubt as to the true meaning of any part of the proposed Contract Documents, he/she may submit electronically through the online program a request for interpretation thereof not later than The Tamaqua Area Community Partnership reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive any informality in any bid, to eliminate or reduce items or quantities, and exercise its judgement as to the comparative merit of the products and services offered. Award of the contract, if awarded, will be to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder.
