The contract work for this project shall consist of providing Weed Abatement Services in the JP Ranch Community in a safe and timely manner in accordance with the maintenance standards set forth in this specification. Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, material, and supervision required to properly maintain the weed abatement areas in an appropriate condition throughout the terms of the contract. Liquidated Damages There will be a Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) assessment for each calendar day that work remains incomplete beyond the time stated in the Proposal Form. The City of Calimesa reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to award each item separately, and/or waive any informality on any bid. No bid may be withdrawn for sixty (60) days after the time set for the opening thereof. Failure by the successful bidder to enter into a contract with the City, or to deliver goods and/or services in accordance with the bid may result in a declaration by the City that the bidder is not a responsible bidder and elimination from consideration in future bidding. At the time of contract award, the prime contractor shall possess the appropriate contractor's license and/or any combination of specialty contractor's license(s) sufficient to perform the work.
