The New Early Learning Center (ELC) Project is a long-anticipated and needed replacement of the existing Early Learning Center, which is housed amongst multiple portables, serves not only the local area but surrounding Counties as well. The current ELC currently serves 79 children with a wait list at every age level. This project, which will have to be constructed on the active school district campus, will provide the District with a new Permanent Early Learning Center that will be able to not only increase current capacity and provide modern amenities to learning, but serve the growing needs of Stevens and surrounding Counties. The project is expected to be between 9,000 sq. ft. and 14,000 sq. ft. to serve approximately 120 children. The Valley School District (VSD) is requesting qualifications for General Contractor/Construction Manager (GC/CM) Services to construct a New Early Learning Center using the procedure permitted under Chapter 39.10 of the RCW, as amended, for public works contracting in lieu of sealed bids. the project consists of constructing a New Early Learning Center on an occupied campus. The project is anticipated to be between 9,000 and 13,000 sq. ft. Preconstruction is expected to start in April, 2025. Early site work may begin as early as August 2025.
