Notification of Award 2/3/2025 Commencement Date 2/17/2025 To notify the County of any inconsistency or ambiguity in this RFP and for all questions pertaining to this RFP, all questions and notifications must be sent via e-mail by December 18, 2024 at 4:30 pm to the County Authorized Representative: Stephanie Holt, Senior Management Analyst stephanie.holt@washingtoncountymn.gov Contractor will assist the County in working with municipalities to update or incorporate best practices in waste and recycling services procurement, ordinance revisions, or in hauler licensing to align with the County's waste management master plan, state statures, make progress along the Washington County Recycling Continuum and implement infrastructure and infrastructure best practices. Washington County's Solid Waste Management Plan (Plan) 2024-2042 includes these policies in regards to residential recycling and food scraps: Recycling 1. Washington County encourages municipalities to follow best practices for recycling by seeking continual improvement, especially with regards to contracting efficiency and implementation ease for residents and by assuring the availability of recycling services for all residents, including residents in multi-family housing. 2. Recycling is a necessary component of waste management in Washington County. The County expects residents to incorporate recycling in the handling of discarded materials and recognizes that it is the responsibility of everyone in Washington County to achieve state recycling goals.
