As of November 10, 2025, design team and contractor have been identified. The Redmond School District ("District") Requests Proposals from experienced Architectural Design Professionals with Mechanical/Electrical Engineering Subconsultants for the design of the modernizations and additions to Redmond High School. Proposers shall provide number (7) paper copies and one (1) PDF electronic copy of their proposal on a flash drive in a sealed envelope. The District is seeking to select a Design Firm to provide the services described herein Design Services for the following project at Redmond High School: Project Description The Redmond High School modernization project involves extensive remodeling, modernization, and targeted additions to address both current educational programing requirements and aging infrastructure. Core elements of the project include significant enhancements and expansions to Career and Technical Education (CTE) spaces, the addition of a new wrestling room, and comprehensive remodeling of the auditorium, band and choir rooms, gymnasium, art rooms, kitchen, and commons areas. Key infrastructure upgrades include substantial improvements to electrical and low-voltage systems, such as new interior and exterior lighting, a new fire alarm system, added circuitry to meet the current electrical demands throughout the building, and the replacement of the four-pipe hydronic heating and cooling system. The project also requires addressing asbestos-containing fireproofing in the structural steel framework, including the pan deck, through careful abatement and/or encapsulation. To ensure proper handling of hazardous materials, the District will engage an independent Hazardous Materials Consultant to design the abatement and/or encapsulation plan, which will be fully integrated into the project's bidding documents. To accommodate construction, the school will transition to temporary portable classrooms on-site during the 2026-2027 academic year. Certain areas, including the CTE spaces, gymnasium, and kitchen, must remain occupiable during the school year, further complicating project logistics and execution. The selected design firm must demonstrate extensive expertise in school modernizations and renovations, particularly in projects involving comprehensive Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) system integration. The firm will also be required to assemble and lead a coordinated team of experienced MEP consultants with proven experience working collaboratively with the lead design firm on similar school projects.
