Renovation of a municipal facility in Goldsboro, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Obtain the services of a professional Design-Builder team interested in contracting for the immediate stabilization needs of a historic landmark built in 1909, Goldsboro's Union Station (hereafter referred to as the PROJECT). The City desires that the team work with local and NCDOT Rail Division representatives through the development of the plans and construction to assure a quality project that adheres to the Secretary of Interior's Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties and through guidance of the NC State Historic Preservation Office, if necessary. Union Station is a beloved building that signifies Goldsboro's origins and represents our community's aspirations. The stabilization work will protect it for years to come and allow for a future investment and reuse. This phase of this redevelopment is critical and needs to be executed with care, priority, and sensitivity by skilled and experienced professionals. The City of Goldsboro (COG) is soliciting statements of qualifications from construction-design teams interested in contracting for the construction of stabilization and rehabilitation work of the historic Union Station located at 100 N. Carolina Street, Goldsboro, NC. This project will address immediate stabilization needs identified by our local team, including members of NCDOT's Rail Division. The City of Goldsboro reserves the right to cancel the Request for Qualifications or to reject any or all responses to the Request for Qualifications, or parts thereof, if it determines, in its sole discretion, that such cancellation or rejection is in the best interest of the City. The City of Goldsboro has an affirmative policy of fostering, promoting and conducting business with women- and minority-owned enterprises. Women and minority contractors are encouraged to participate in the bid process.
