The work under Contract No. 1 for the Rehabilitation of County Route 24 is located between U.S. 11 and NYS 374 in the Towns of Malone and Bellmont, Franklin County, New York. The project consists of rehabilitating approximately 11.5 miles of County Route 24 between US 11 and NYS 190. The corridor will be overlayed with a 1.5 inch asphalt top course. The project will also include the replacement of the waterproofing membrane on three bridge decks. The project will maintain the existing guide rail system and drainage systems. Traffic will be maintained on County Route 24 at all times. All work items of the Contract shall be substantially completed by August 31, 2025. Each bid must be accompanied by security in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. No Bidder may withdraw his bid within forty-five (45) days after the actual date of opening thereof. This is an exempt capital improvement project, and Bidders shall not include in their bid sales and compensating use taxes on the cost of materials which are to be incorporated into the work and which are to be separately sold by the Contractor to the County prior to incorporation into the work of the Contract(s).The attention of Bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the Contract. The right is reserved to waive any informalities in the Bid and to reject any or all Bids.
