As of June 30, 2025, this project is under construction. Contract has been awarded to the following: 1. Prime Contract #01: Roofing Work Prime Contract to Niko K. Construction Corp. Contract Amount: $4,970,000 The East Greenbush Central School District invites bids in connection with its 2024 Capital Improvement Project - Phase 1A (Columbia High School Roof Replacement and Tennis/Basketball Courts Reconstruction), with its office located at 29 Englewood Ave, East Greenbush, NY 12061. Contract 1: Roof Construction A full performance bond, together with labor and material payment bonds in a form acceptable to the Owner, shall be required of the successful Bidder for the full contract amount. The award of the bid pursuant to this notice is subject to the appropriation of funds for this purpose in accordance with the applicable provisions of the General Municipal Law. All bids must meet the requirements of the General Municipal law of the State of New York and all other applicable statutes and have attached a statement of non-collusion. All documents submitted in connection with this bid will become the property of the East Greenbush Central School District, and the district will not return bids or bid documents. Attention of the Bidder is particularly called to the Owner's sales tax exemption, the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and the minimum wage rates to be paid under the contract. In addition, the Bidding Documents for this project contain detailed requirements for the qualification of Bidders. These include, among other things, rigid bonding and insurance requirements, financial statements, bank references, lists of lawsuits, arbitrations or other proceedings in which the Bidder has been named as a party, a statement of surety's intent to issue Performance and Payment Bonds, and a description of other projects of similar size and scope completed by the Bidder. Each bidder, by submitting a bid, certifies that it and each of its subcontractors have completed the required New York State Public Work Contractor and Subcontractor Registry in accordance with the New York State Department of Labor requirements, as amended from time to time. Acceptable proof of registration is required as part of each bidder's bid submission. Each Bidder shall deposit with its bid, security in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the base bid in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the "Instructions to Bidders." No Bidder may withdraw his bid within forty-five (45) days after the actual bid opening. The Board of Education reserves the right to waive any and all informalities in or to reject any or all bids.
