Reference Number 0000381774 The County Highway Department is soliciting bids for unspecified quantities of unprocessed granular material (run-of-bank gravel) and processed material for use in highway projects and for winter traction control throughout the County. Awards will be made to all vendors submitting bids that meet the specifications. The County Engineer or his designee will make selection and purchase of material. Selection will be based on cost, material specifications, availability and proximity to the project. Any vendors submitting a bid must comply with all appropriate local and state regulations. Each bank must be licensed for operation by the NYSDEC. Please refer to the State Law requiring licensing of any bank where more than one thousand (1,000) tons of material is removed in a year's time.
