The work, officially known as Removable Retaining Wall / Column Storage Improvements, consists of improvements to the removable retaining wall / column storage structure. The work includes general construction including concrete, steel work, selected demolition of existing facilities and other ancillary work required to accomplish the improvements. DESCRIPTION OF WORK A. Work on the Project will be provided under a single prime contract. B. When completed, this project will provide the Owner with an improved removable retaining wall / column storage structure. C. The major facilities or components of the Project include but are not limited to the following. To determine the full scope of the Project, refer to the entire Contract Documents: 1. Modifications to the existing removable retaining wall / column storage structure. 2. Construction, including the following: a. Concrete work. b. Steel work. c. Selected demolition of existing facilities. D. Any part or item of the work that is reasonable implied or normally required to make each installation satisfactorily operable shall be performed by the Contractor and the expense thereof shall be included in the applicable prices bid for the work. It is the intent of these Specifications to provide the Owner with complete operable systems, subsystems, and other items of work. All miscellaneous appurtenances and other items of work that are incidental to meeting the intent of these Specifications shall be considered as having been included in the applicable prices bid for the work even though these appurtenances and items may not be specifically called for in the Specifications.
