The Project includes, without limitation, furnishing all necessary labor, materials, equipment and other incidental and appurtenant Work necessary to satisfactorily complete the Project, as more specifically described in specifications. This Work will be performed in strict conformance with the specifications, permits from regulatory agencies with jurisdiction, and applicable regulations. The quantity of Work to be performed and materials to be furnished are approximations only, being given as a basis for the comparison of Bids. Actual quantities of Work to be performed may vary at the discretion of the County. ALL PRE-BID QUESTIONS MUST BE SUBMITTED IN WRITING NO LATER THAN The work for this bid includes the furnishing of all labor and materials and equipment to rehabilitate Veteran's Park Well (W-92) Site located at 4530 Excelsior Road, Mather, CA 95655. The rehabilitation includes but is not limited to downhole video surveys, mechanical pretreatment, chemical and mechanical treatment, disinfection, and repairing and/or replacing pump and pipe appurtenances. Contractor shall be required to submit Attachment B - REHABILITATION REPORT and Attachment C - Pump Bearing Line Shaft Report. The Contractor shall be required to discharge wastewater per SCWA's wastewater discharge permit requirements. Discharge requirements include, but are not limited to, a maximum flow rate, in-line flow meter, pH between 6-11, notifying SCWA at least 3 days prior, and pretreatment to remove silt and sand. The tentative discharge location is shown in Attachment D - Location Map. The Contractor shall obtain a SCWA Construction Water Permit prior to withdrawing water from existing or new water systems. Fees will be waived. Water use shall comply with rules and regulations of the permit. An approved and tested temporary backflow prevention assembly shall be required for certain installations as determined by the SCWA. Failure by the Contractor to obtain and display a permit will result in a $358 fine for each occurrence. The contractor shall have all approved paperwork in possession prior to connecting to the water system for construction water CONTRACTOR LICENSE REQUIRED: Class A, C57, or C61/D21 Each bid must be submitted on the bid forms provided in the Contract Documents; however, if none are provided, the surety may issue on its own paper. Each bid must also be accompanied by security in the form of a bid bond issued by a corporate surety, a certified check or cashiers check payable to the Treasurer of Sacramento County, or cash for an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the aggregate The successful bidder shall be required to execute a material and labor Payment Bond and Performance Bond, issued by a corporate surety, acceptable to the County of Sacramento, each for not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price.
