Description: The Lake Somerset Dam Repair project includes embankment stabilization, embankment excavation and fill with an underdrain to control and monitor seepage. Maintenance of a new draw down gate on the lake level control structure. Soil erosion control measures will be taken to reduce soil erosion and sedimentation on the site. The Somerset Lake Dam Repair project will be in compliance with Part 315, Dam Safety and Part 307, Inland Lake Levels, of the Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Act, 1994 PA 451, as amended. The goal of the Somerset Lake Dam Repair project is to reduce the risk of failure of Somerset Lake Dam and protect the environment and people of Somerset Lake and the surrounding area. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered to all parties recorded as having received the Bidding Documents.
