Reference Number 0000375421 Job Location: 10841 Highway 59, Sedgwick, CO 80749 Estimated Contract Cost: $6,000,000.00 Bid Intent Not Available Qualified contractors are invited to bid on the construction of a new 9+1-bay Vehicle Storage Facility (VSF), Sand Shed and Magnesium-Chloride (Mg-Cl) Containment Structure. The project site is located on undeveloped land in Sedgwick County. The new VSF shall be a 10,000 gross square foot pre-engineered metal building (PEMB). The VSF will contain an administration area and nine 20'-0" x 50'-0" bays used to store CDOT plow trucks, two of which shall be wash bays with waterproofed finishes and fixtures. The flooring shall be concrete slab-on-grade with a 20-foot concrete apron at the overhead doors. The project will also include a new 4,000 gross square foot PEMB Sand Shed with a 20-foot concrete apron at the overhead door side, and a 48'-0" x 34'-8" Mg-Cl containment structure which will hold six 21,000-gallon liquid storage tanks (tanks not in this contract). There are no existing utilities on the site. Propane gas will be provided by Peetz Farmers Co Op. Electric power will be provided by Highline Electric Association. A new Water well will be drilled by CDOT under a separate contract. All piping from the well, underground storage tanks, pumps, fittings, connections and wiring required for the water system is included in this contract. For sanitary sewer, a new septic system and leach field will be installed as part of this contract. The vehicle washbays are served by an on-site water recycling system that collects the melting snow from the plow trucks through the trench drains in the bays and this water is diverted to a treatment system that is buried outside the building. The GC is responsible for purchasing and installing the concrete tanks and install the piping and conduit for this treatment system; the equipment and final connections to the equipment is by others.
