SCOPE: The Performance Park Bridge site is located west of downtown Estes Park generally north of the West Park Center and Big Horn Restaurant situated on W Elkhorn Avenue. The existing bridge measured approximately 13' wide and 25' long. It was estimated to be installed in the 1960s. It connects the Performance Park parking lot to the Fall River Trail and the Performance Park outdoor events amphitheater. The highest demand for foot and bike traffic is during the summer visitation season from late May through October. Occasional light vehicle use occurs to deliver sound equipment to the amphitheater during the summer outdoor events. Winter use consists of low volumes of cyclists and pedestrians and snow removal equipment as needed. The Guarantee must be a certified check payable to the Town of Estes Park or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder. If awarded the two Contracts, a Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond are required within ten days of the date on the written Notice of Award, each for the total amount of the Contract Price. No Bidder may withdraw a Bid for a period of thirty days after the date fixed for opening the Bids. The Town of Estes Park reserves the right to cancel this Invitation to Bid; reject any Bid, in whole or in part; to adjust the quantity of Work to be done as mandated by budgetary requirements; and to waive informalities or irregularities in the Bids received, when it is in the Town's best interest to do so.
