Cuesta College Building 7300 Roof Replacement and HVAC Improvements LATEST DATE/TIME FOR SUBMITTAL OF PRE-BID INQUIRIES 4:00 PM Thursday, February 27, 2025 Submit Pre-Bid Inquiries to: blakem@klassencorp.com & cdiesta@19six.com Bid Security. Each Bid Proposal shall be accompanied by Bid Security in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the maximum amount of the Bid Proposal, inclusive of the proposed price for any additive Alternate Bid Item(s). Bid Security shall be in the form of: (i) cash; (ii) cashier or certified check payable to the dis; or (iii) bid bond, in the form and content set forth in the Contract Documents. Failure of any Bid Proposal to be accompanied by Bid Security in the form and in the amount required shall render such Bid Proposal to be non-responsive and rejected by the District. Duration of Bid Proposals. Bid Proposals shall not be withdrawn by any Bidder for a period of sixty (60) days after the opening of Bid Proposals. During this time, all Bidders shall guarantee prices quoted in their respective Bid Proposals. Award of Contract. The Contract for the Work, if awarded, will be by action of the District's Board of Trustees to the responsible Bidder submitting the lowest priced responsive Bid Proposal. If Alternate Bid Items are included in the bidding, the lowest priced Bid Proposal will be determined on the basis of the Base Bid Proposal or on the Base Bid Proposal and the combination of Alternate Bid Items selected in accordance with the applicable provisions of the Instructions for Bidders. Waiver of Irregularities. The District reserves the right to reject any or all Bid Proposals or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any Bid Proposal or in the bidding. The Work includes a replacement of the entire Bldg 7300 roof and some mechanical units and roof accessories. The work consists of: a. Removal of existing roof down to substrate and installation of new single ply roof. Gravity vents are to be removed and reinstalled after roofing is completed. b. Removal and replacement of cap flashing, fire treated plywood at all parapet walls. c. Replacement in kind of condensers and associated equipment/refrigeration lines, exhaust fans, roof hatches, walking pads, roof and overflow drains. d. New flashing and waterproofing at all walls and existing roof penetrations, including refrigerant line hood enclosure/cap. e. Rehabilitation of mechanical equipment in Mechanical Room. 2. The intent of these drawings and specifications is that the new construction in this contract is to be in accordance with Title 24, California Code of Regulations.
