Each Bid Proposal shall be accompanied by Bid Security in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the maximum amount of the Bid Proposal, inclusive of the proposed price for any additive Alternate Bid Item(s). Bid Security shall be in the form of: (i) cash; (ii) cashier or certified check payable to the dis; or (iii) bid bond, in the form and content set forth in the Contract Documents. Failure of any Bid Proposal to be accompanied by Bid Security in the form and in the amount required shall render such Bid Proposal to be non-responsive and rejected by the District. The Work consists of the following: renovation of the existing 4000 building interior which includes demolition of miscellaneous wall hung furnishings/equipment, demolition of existing electrical power fixtures or removal of light fixture mechanics for conversion to LED type, replacement of recessed can lighting with new equipment (accessed from ceiling access panel), replacement of existing receptacles and switches with new, preparation/patching of gyp board walls for painting, removal and replacement of existing carpet with new carpet tiles and adhesive, replacement of wall base with new carpet wall base and adhesive, install new vinyl sheet flooring with associated rubber top set base, install new vinyl flooring at Pantry Room with rolled cove base up wall, replacement of Pantry Room countertop and sink (match existing), painting metal window frames surround and sand off any rust or imperfections, remove and replace roller shades at classrooms, remove and reinstall existing shades at other locations after painting, deep cleaning of tile surfaces, painting gyp ceilings, replacement of ceiling tile panels up to 10% of each room floor area, painting of exterior door and window frames, painting of interior door and window frames, painting exterior door (both sides).
