The City of Bonifay, Florida hereby requests statements of interests and qualifications from interested and qualified individuals or firms to provide ENGINEERING AND CONTINUING ENGINEERING SERVICES for improvements to the City's water and wastewater systems, as described in Exhibit A. Statements of Interest and Qualifications submitted after this time will not be considered. Any firm or individual desiring to provide professional services to the City must first be certified by the City as qualified pursuant to law and the regulations of the City. The City must find that the firm or individual to be employed is fully qualified to render the required service. Among the factors to be considered in making this finding are the capabilities, adequacy of personnel, past record, and experience of the firm or individual. The City will evaluate professional services, including capabilities, adequacy of personnel, past record, experience, whether the firm is a certified minority business enterprise as defined by the Florida Small and Minority Business Assistance Act, and other factors determined by the City to be applicable to its particular requirements. These evaluations will be conducted at a public meeting. Negotiations may take place only with parties which are free of obligations and interests, which might conflict with the best interest of the City of Bonifay and are professionally qualified to perform the work described. All submittals received in response to this Request for Qualifications will become property of the City of Bonifay and will not be returned to the proposer. By furnishing a submittal, the firm certifies that he/she/they has/have fully read and understands the Request for Qualifications and has full knowledge of the scope, nature, and quality of the work to be performed
