The City of Sparta is soliciting sealed bids for the reconstruction of carts paths at River Run Sparta golf course at 1210 E Montgomery Street, Sparta, WI 54656. The cart path project will consist of milling and finishing over the existing cart paths along with construction of some new cart path sections. The outermost envelope shall be clearly marked with the name and address of the bidder and shall be clearly labeled, River Run Sparta Cart Paths. All bids shall arrive at the appointed place by the time specified. Tardiness due to delivery methods or contracted carrier shall not be a reason for consideration of late bids. The following specifications shall be met: 1. The area under consideration for new chip seal surface comprises approximately 220,000 Square Feet of areas for a chip seal surface. 2. Full depth mill of existing cart paths leaving all materials in place for a base. Proof roll subgrade with vibratory steel drum roller to ensure proper stability. 3. Gravel Base: Install three inches of crushed gravel in two equal lifts, crushed gravel shall be compacted with a steel drum vibratory roller. 4. Chip Seal: Install two coats of asphalt oil and chips, compacted with roller. 5. Fog Seal: Upon completion of chip seal, all paths will be fog sealed. 6. Soft Spots: If soft spots are encountered on the route and additional gravel is needed, provide a cost per cubic yard of additional gravel. 7. The awarded contractor must coordinate with Pro Shop staff when working to allow holes to be closed while work is being conducted.
