DMIAAB is issuing a Request for Proposal to retain a qualified company (the Contractor) to provide one or more permitted facilities within thirty (30) miles of the geographic boundary of the Towns of Durham and Middlefield to receive, process, dispose of and recycle all wastes and recyclables managed by DMIAAB. The purpose of this Request for Proposal is to select a Contractor that has demonstrated experience in providing such disposal, processing and recycling services in the Connecticut municipal market and who possesses an understanding of the standards and requirements typical for such services. The waste disposal and recyclables processing services shall be provided in a cost-effective, efficient, regulatory-compliant and reliable manner under the terms of a mid-to- long-term Agreement between, DMIAAB and the Contractor. DMIAAB reserves the right to reject any or all proposals. Questions regarding this Request for Proposals shall be directed to Dom DelVecchio, Chairman, DMIAAB (domdel@snet.net), no later than five calendar days prior to the date proposals are due. The contract term shall be for no less than three (3) years beginning on July 1, 2025 but as many as five (5) years. Upon mutual agreement of the Town of Durham, Town of Middlefield, and DMIAAB and the awarded Contractor, any Agreement(s) resulting from this Request for Proposals may be extended for additional one-year periods by a duly executed written Agreement signed by all parties of the original Agreement.
