State Project #: 213-0051-RNV/EA BID PACKAGE 1.01 - GENERAL TRADES This is the first phase of the Memorial School Project that consists of the construction of swing space so that the students can be relocated to the swing space at the Lyman and Strong school sites during the construction of Memorial school. The scope of work at each school is defined below: 1. Lyman School: The base scope consists of the relocation of a portable building that comprises of two portable classrooms located at Memorial school. The contractor will be responsible for the disconnection of all utilities to the portable buildings, preparation of the portables for relocation, and relocating the portable to the new site. The work will also include providing foundations for the portable building at the new site and connecting the utilities to the relocated portables as identified on the drawings and in the specifications. The work also includes providing a covered walkway including ramps, and stairs as indicated on the drawings. A toilet will be constructed in one of the relocated portable classrooms. The relocated portables will be updated with new finishes as indicated on the drawings. The scope at Lyman school also includes four existing portable buildings that will be updated with new ceilings and finishes. All utility systems including PA, fire alarm and phone communication will be tested to confirm that they are functioning properly. The roof on all existing and relocated buildings will be checked for leaks and patched as needed. A security fence with gates will be constructed as indicated on the drawings. The scope includes sitework for the new portables and the additional parking at the rear of the school as indicated in the drawing. 2. Strong School: The scope of work at Strong school consists of minor renovations in the existing school to create five new instructional classrooms and three support spaces. There will be no modification in three classrooms. Two classrooms and the support spaces will be developed by constructing partition walls to define the space. The work will include new gypsum walls, doors and hardware, ceiling modifications, new flooring, minor HVAC and fire protection modifications to meet code requirements. The scope of work in a lower-level support room will be the minor demolition of casework and the replacement of the floor finish. Two sinks and an eyewash/shower will be installed in the designated science room on the upper level. All spaces will be painted. Existing lockers will be removed and reinstalled.
