Completion Date: Nov. 21, 2025 The proposed work is officially known as "2025 WATER MAIN IMPROVEMENTS PROGRAM" and further described as new 8" PVC water main installation, construction of lateral WMQ storm sewers, abandoning the existing water main, water service box removal and replacement, valve vaults, fire hydrants, lead service replacement into the home, storm and sanitary sewer spot repairs, various roadway resurfacing treatments, and all necessary restoration as further described in the contract documents for the said work prepared by Christopher B. Burke Engineering, Ltd. (CBBEL). All water main improvements shall be constructed with the use of Local Funds, with portions of the Norfolk Avenue water main improvements being construction with CDBG Funds. Special attention shall be called to the Cook County CDBG Grant ($200,000) the Village has received for water main improvements on Norfolk Avenue from Roosevelt to Gladstone (Grant #2407-027). The Contractor shall provide 24% MBE and 10% WBE towards this work. All $200,000 of Cook County CDBG Funds for the "Norfolk Avenue Water Main Improvements" portion shall be expended by September 30, 2025.
