A timeline for award has not yet been established.* Surveillance Cameras and License Plate Readers Installation- Charleroi Borough is accepting proposals for installation of surveillance cameras and license plate readers at various locations throughout the Charleroi business district and residential streets. Per our desire to provide the safest possible environment for our citizens and businesses, we plan to install observational infrastructure beginning in March 2025 *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project. The purpose of the camera/LPR project is to protect the public and provide law enforcement with the tools necessary to monitor and record potential unlawful activity and public safety liabilities. The project is to include the following technological infrastructure: (All cameras must be 8-mega pixel and meet all current Federal Guidelines and all license plate readers must be 5 mega pixel) Installation of 4 (four) cameras at 11 (eleven) traffic intersections-total: 44 Installation of 4 (four) cameras along a residential street within Charleroi Borough Installation of 2 (two) camera at Railroad Way and 6th Street Installation of 2 (two) cameras within the Charleroi Borough City Hall Installation of 3 (three) camera located at the Public Works garage Installation of independent NVR at the Public Works garage (NVR must be IP 16 channel 8K with 8 terabyte hard-drive X 2 expandable to 4) Installation of independent NVR within the Charleroi Regional Police Department (NVR must be IP 256 channel 8K-with 8 terabyte hard-drive X 4-expandable to 10) Installation of 10 (ten) license plate readers (LPR) at 5 (five) locations to be determined
