Renovation of an educational facility in Stratford, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Contract Award Pending Board Meeting on 04/28/25 For Samuel S. Yellin School 2025 Partial Roof Replacement. 2. ROOF TYPE I: The work consists of removal of the existing 3-Ply modified bitumen roof membrane system and nailer base sheet at the areas indicated, down to the top surface of the light weight concrete topping (LWCT). All portions of the existing LWCT assembly are to remain and be prepared to receive the new rigid insulation and SBS roof membrane system. Remove all metal edge work, gutters, soffit assemblies, scupper boxes, downspouts, flashing, etc. as shown on the Construction Documents. The new roof system will consist of new uniform thickness insulation (See Roof Types on the drawings) with all joints staggered, 1/2" coverboard and a 2-ply mineral surface modified bitumen roof system. Provide new wood blocking to accommodate increased height of the new roof assembly. Provide new tapered insulation (crickets) to divert water around all roof penetrations/obstructions (not all crickets are shown on the drawings for clarity purposes) as required for positive drainage throughout the roof areas. 3. ROOF TYPES II, III & IV: The work consists of complete removal of the entire roof membrane system at the areas indicated, down to the structural deck (Wood, Concrete and Metal) including removal of all metal edge work, gutters, soffit assemblies, scupper boxes, downspouts, flashing, etc. as shown on the Construction Documents. The new roof system will consist of new uniform thickness insulation and tapered insulation (See Roof Types on the drawings) with all joints staggered, 1/2" coverboard and a 2-ply mineral surface modified bitumen roof system. Provide new wood blocking to accommodate increased height of the new roof assembly. Provide additional new tapered insulation (crickets) to direct water into building drainage elements and also to divert water around all roof penetrations/obstructions (not all crickets are shown on the drawings for clarity purposes) as required for positive drainage throughout the roof areas. Bidders Prime Subcontractors, defined as those listed in N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-18, must be pre-qualified by DPMC with the DPMC classification associated with the work they intend to directly perform or subcontract. The Bidder and named Prime Subcontractors must be pre-qualified prior to the date that bids are received. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check, bank cashiers check, treasurers check or Bid Bond in the form provided in the Contract Documents, with corporate surety satisfactory to the Owner, in an amount of 10% of the Base Bid, but in no case in excess of $20,000.00, The on-site Construction period, during which all work on site is to be performed, is to start on or about June 20, 2025.
